Incendiary Texts: Pablo Neruda's 'Confieso que he vivido: Memorias' & 12,000 pages

Vertical Submarine ignites a book-burning party for Simulacros Naturales, curated by Erick Diego. The presentation began with the burning of Pablo Neruda's 'Confieso que he vivido: Memorias'. Beyond the pleasure or pain of seeing and hearing the book being burned, this act could either be one of dedication or condemnation, devotion or denunciation for the book concerned. Other books sacrificed for this session: 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra', 'Beyond Good and Evil', 'Nietzsche Anthology', Rilke's 'Letter to a Young Poet', Swift's "Gulliver's Travels', Fromm's 'Art of Loving', Felosio's 'Alfanhui', Dante's 'Divine Comedy', Carroll's 'Alice in Wonderland', Orwell's '1984', Sade's 'Julieta', Ibsen's 'Casa de Munecas', 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' and more...
